In Heaven

Dear friends,

I cannot thankyou enough for the kind words you have left this week. You truly are some of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I want to give each and every one of you a big hug! You are truly so kind and I feel so very blessed.

My grandfather passed away yesterday. It was not a surprise or a shock, he was very sick for the last 4 or 5 years, and the doctors did not think he would pull through this time. We were to an extent, prepared for the news, but it is still very sad, especially for my grandma. However, he is no longer suffering in this world and has gone to join his Lord in heaven, so that is indeed a blessing for him.

The next few days will be busy with planning and sorting, with visitations and funeral later in the week. I was so looking forward to catching up on all your blogs this week after the stress of exams, but that will once again have to wait until after Christmas.

I chose the image below for this post because birch trees surround our family cottage, and I just though it was such a fitting photo, looking up into the heavens.

"In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." John 14:2-4

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body." Philippians 3:20-21

I hope you spend your holidays with the people you love most (and make sure to tell them so!)
