Nailed It: Glitter Tips

Hello!

I've been on a bit of a glitter kick lately and I think this mani is just gorgeous. It's perfect for Valentine's Day (although really, it's fabulous anytime of the year!). Soft pastels, glitter tips, what more could you want?? :)

I love the lavender with silver tips (reminds me of falling snow!) and can you imagine this in pink with gold tips? Might have to try that out next!

It's really not hard, promise! The hardest part is trying to not get loose glitter everywhere haha I used Essie All in One basecoat & Sally Hansen Insta-Dri topcoat. I used loose nail glitter from Gosh cosmetics, but there's lots out there. To keep glitter shiny, use a coat of Gelous over glitter but before topcoat.

one
Paint nails with base colour and let dry.
I used Zoya Wednesday for the turquoise & Essie Lilacism for the lavender.

two
Dab glitter polish at tips and dab/spread/smudge with finger.
I used China Glaze 5 Golden Rings for the gold & China Glaze Tinsel for the silver.

three
Immediately dip or brush loose glitter onto tips.
Any nail or craft glitter will work - but don't let it near your face or eyes.

four
Blur edge by dabbing more glitter polish & brushing a little loose glitter on.
Make sure to spread it towards the base of the nail to make it look 'softer'.

five
Layer glitter polish & loose glitter until you're satisfied!
2-3 layers should do it.

six
Protect glitter & keep it shiny with a coat of Gelous and your favourite top coat.

What do you think? What's on your nails this week?
