Feature Friday: Hodge Podge

Good morning!!

It's been a while since I featured a fellow fabulous blogger, so I thought it was high time!

I discovered Hodge:Podge a little while ago and love it! Barbara is an awesome DIY-er and she has a fantastic series, So Canadian, Eh? that features some darn cool people! She's a fellow Canuck based out in Vancouver, so go show her some love!

Take a look at some of her fabulous projects:

Painted Peony

Re-vamped Chair

Monogrammed Pillow

Diamond Tufted Headboard

Silver-Leaf Lamp

Painted End Table/Night Stand

Yep, she made her own diamond tufted headboard, and it looks darn good!! I'm actually planning on making my own silver leaf lamp and I'm going to follow her tutorial :D

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! It's finally sunny here after days and days of rain so I am super excited :D

Feature Friday: Tea Time

Good morning!!

Today's featured artist doesn't use a traditional canvas for her work, she uses tea cups!! I stumbled across her work on Pinterest and knew I had to feature her!

Esther Coombs is Hampshire, England based artist. She "worked in a variety of environments including vintage retail, museums such as the V&A and galleries before acknowledging the pull that returned her back to drawings and up cycling. It is both the physical and narrative qualities of my work—I find vintage pieces and rewrite their stories by adding my own with my illustrations, my main aim is to transform lost gems into new, desirable items." Isn't that just fabulous??

Doilies in Green
Boubon Biscuit Teacup & Saucer

Along with teacups, she also paints jugs, plates, and cake stands.
Cupcake Jug
Royal Wedding Cakestand
Even tea towels and pillows!!
Victorian Kitchen Tea Towel
Isn't her work fabulous? So pretty and detailed! You can check out her Etsy shop and her website to learn more :)

Hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Feature & a Note

Morning all!

I know I didn't really announce it, but yesterday I took part in the blogger day of silence.
I realize I probably should have announced it, but by the time I found out about it it was too late. However, today I have 2 posts for you to finish off this Scottish week :)

Today's feature is Fréya Eté of the Etsy shop FreyaArt. I found her work last summer and fell in love!

This is probably my favourite print; I love the colours, the image, the text, all of it! How lovely would it be in a nursery?

New To This World
Adore this one too! I love the text that she puts on her work, it's just so lovely.

Strange & Magnificent
This text is lovely too :)

Vast & Amazing

Be sure to check her Etsy shop for more lovely things :) Fréya also has a site with even more of her work.

Another post will be up a bit later today, so be sure to come back for that!

Hope you all have a lovely day!

Feature Friday: August Fields

Good morning!

Today I have the absolutely lovely home of Sara from August Fields to share with you :)

The room that really captured my attention when I first found her blog was the school room. Sara homeschools her children and this is just the most perfect room to do it in!

Her kitchen has a little cubby that goes through to the school room so she can see what's going on :)

See it just under the microwave there? Such a neat addition to an absolutely gorgeous kitchen!

Sara and her husband have 5 children, so a large mudroom/entry way is definitely needed! Great storage space for all the necessary stuff, as well as plenty of room for them to all get ready in!

The master bedroom is so calm and relaxing, as is the lovely nursery for their youngest.

And look at the gorgeous custom bunk beds they had built for the boys room! I'm a big lover of cubby-type bunk beds, so these are just perfect!

Her home is absolutely lovely, so be sure to check out her blog for all the beautiful rooms I didn't post about! Best wishes for your home and family Sara :)

Hope you all have a lovely Friday and weekend!
